Myrtle Beach Pelicans Home Games to be Televised |
The Myrtle Beach Pelicans announced plans to have their home games televised on WPDE/WWMB, the local ABC/UPN affiliate in Myrtle Beach, SC. The Pelicans and WPDE/WWMB signed a one-year pact to broadcast live 19 home games and any play-off games during the Pelicans 1999 Inaugural season.
In addition, the station will be a media cosponsor for 11 promotional nights, which include seven Sundays where fans will be invited to the warming track and dugout for a 20-minute post-game autograph and photo session with the players. In fact, unless you have already purchased a ticket for opening night, April 12, your only option will be to watch the game on television, as Opening Night is sold out.
