WRAL-TV crew members pulled off another successful parade on Saturday, November 21, 2015. The WRAL-TV Raleigh Christmas parade, sponsored by Shop Local Raleigh, took over the streets of downtown Raleigh and the televisions of WRAL viewers all over the Triangle.
“Thanks to the hard work of a very talented group of people, we had another successful broadcast,” said WRAL-TV Programming Producer Randy Mews, WRAL’s producer for the parade broadcast. “We built a fully-functioning TV set in less than 24 hours and brought home some great holiday sights and sounds for our viewers. It’s rewarding to be part of such a signature event for WRAL and the city of Raleigh.”
And the viewers tuned in to the parade in big numbers to see the results of that hard work.
“Randy and the entire production team did an outstanding job and the ratings prove our viewers agreed!” said WRAL-TV Director of Local Production Phyllis Parish, WRAL’s executive producer for the parade broadcast. “The parade broadcast was #1 from 10am-12noon Saturday and was also the second highest rated program on WRAL for the entire day!”
Viewers tuned in to WRAL-TV for the parade broadcast in big numbers, handily winning the time period in the ratings.
For the 42nd consecutive years, WRAL-TV broadcast the parade live. The parade broadcast also streamed on WRAL.com and in the WRAL News app, and viewers across the rest of North Carolina could watch the parade live on UNC-EX.
If you missed the live broadcast or where there in person and now want to see it on TV, the parade will be replayed on television December 5, 12 and 19 at noon on WRAL2, plus a special holiday presentation on WRAL-TV at 4 p.m. on Christmas Day.
