$1 Concessions, Fireworks Show Also Scheduled for Six-Game Stanza
The Durham Bulls return to the DBAP on Tuesday, April 25, when they kick off a six-game homestand against the Syracuse Chiefs and Buffalo Bisons. The season’s first Bark in the Park, $1 Concessions, fireworks and a pregame Meet the Team event highlight the event schedule.
The homestand opens on Tuesday, April 25 with the first game of a three-game set against the Syracuse Chiefs. That evening’s 7:05 p.m. contest is presented by Avalara. The two teams then battle once more on Wednesday, April 26 at 10:35 a.m. for the season’s first Education Day.
The Bulls’ series against the Washington Nationals’ top affiliate wraps on Thursday, April 27 at 7:05 p.m., with that evening’s game presented by Circle K. That night’s contest features $1 Concessions, as Bright Leaf Hot Dogs, soda and popcorn are just a buck all evening, and Thursday is also the season’s first Bark in the Park event. Fans can bring their dogs to the DBAP that evening, with human tickets costing $7.99 plus tax, while tickets for canines are priced at $5 plus tax with all proceeds benefiting Second Chance Pet Adoptions. Prior to the contest, all fans who bring their dog are encouraged to partake in a pregame dog parade on the field, beginning at 6:15 p.m. at Section 118 on the first base side.
On Friday, April 28 the Bulls open a three-game set against the Buffalo Bisons at 7:05 p.m., presented by FNV in partnership with Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC). Following the contest will be a Friday Night Fireworks show, presented by bioMerieux. Durham battles the Toronto Blue Jays’ Triple-A affiliate at 6:35 p.m. on Saturday, April 29, as FNV in partnership with Blue Cross NC once again is the game sponsor.
The homestand wraps on Sunday, April 30, with a pregame Meet the Team event and Bulls and Rays 20th anniversary celebration. Prior to that evening’s 5:05 p.m. contest, presented by FNV in partnership with Blue Cross NC, gates will open at 2:30 p.m. as fans are invited to a Meet the Team event where Bulls players and coaches will be available to sign autographs, play games and play catch on the field with children from 2:45 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. Then, the Bulls will honor their 20th season with the Tampa Bay Rays in a pregame ceremony, and the team will debut its commemorative anniversary uniforms for the first time on-field. Rays’ mascots Raymond and DJ Kitty will be on hand to sign autographs and take pictures, and following the contest children can show off their speed as Kids Run the Bases courtesy of Nature’s Twist.
