American Tobacco Re-energizes Reed Lobby with new Art Exhibit

'Black on Black' at American Tobacco

American Tobacco is featuring a new art exhibit, The Black on Black Project, in the Reed Lobby through April 30, 2017.

With the Crowe Lobby art gallery closing to make way for patron seating for ATC’s newest restaurant, Maybelle’s, the challenge was on to find a new location.

Arts Now presented by PNC and the Art of Cool Festival were eager to display The Black on Black project at American Tobacco  in the weeks leading up to the festival.

The location had to be easily accessible and housed in a location or building that was open after hours.  The Reed Lobby, used for years as quiet hang out space, quickly became the plan B.

The art was skillfully arranged and hung, and both the tenants and public have embraced the new location, as well as the exhibit.

Further enhancements to the Reed Lobby area include the addition of suspended wall panels to provide extra exhibition space, and painting of the walls to a more neutral color.
